Local Attractions & Activities

The Adam's Mark Denver Hotel is located in the heart of Downtown Denver on the popular 16th Street Mall, a mile-long pedestrian promenade lined with shops, restaurants, and entertainment. Free shuttle buses run its length, providing easy access from the hotel to all Downtown attractions. Highlights along the Mall include Denver Pavilions, a two square block entertainment complex that opened late 1998 with a Hard Rock Cafe, Virgin Records Megastore, Niketown, 15 movie theaters and much more. At the other end of the Mall are the Shops at Tabor Center, a two block-long, glass enclosed, multi-level shopping center filled with an assortment of stores and restaurants including a 30,000 square foot ESPN Zone. To the East of the Mall is 17th Street, known as the Wall Street of the West. Canyons of skyscrapers line this boulevard and neighboring 18th Street, which are the financial centers for the Rocky Mountain West. One block North on 14th Street is the Denver Performing Arts Complex (PLEX). Covering four square blocks, it is the largest performing arts center in the world under one roof with nine theaters seating more than 10,000 people. From opera and symphony to Tony-Award-winning theater, the PLEX is the center of Denver's arts community. The area is also surrounded by many historical structures.

Other attractions include Civic Center Park, the Denver Art Museum, the Colorado History Museum, the U.S. Mint, the Denver Public Library, Six Flags Elitch Gardens Amusement Park, Ocean Journey (aquarium), Coors Field (home of the MLB Colorado Rockies), the Pepsi Center (home of the NBA Denver Nuggets and NHL Colorado Avalanche), Invesco Field at Mile High (home of the NFL Denver Broncos), Cherry Creek Shopping District, the Denver Zoo, and the Denver Museum of Nature and Science.
